First Peak: Executive Summary

Over the past year, we held an open discussion with the wider Humanitarian Maker community on design and knowledge sharing to support humanitarian making and offered ways to engage in this as well, with a focus on Field Ready items designed in humanitarian contexts. In the upcoming full report, the context is set first with a look at Field Ready’s humanitarian item design process in the field. Then it discusses project efforts to better understand the requirements for digital platform utilization in design sharing and the engagement tactics conducive to advancing items towards a usable and reliable stage.
