Humanitarian Makers, incubated in Field Ready a 501c3, (“HM” or “we”) respects your preferences concerning the treatment of personal information that we may collect from your use of the Service (as defined below). HM offers an online environment at https://www.humanitarianmakers.org and https://www.humanitarianmakers.net that provides, among other features: (a) awareness of humanitarian making; (b) news and insights; and (c) resources.

HM may use third-party service providers (“Service Providers”) to provide certain services, such as hosting, software maintenance, database maintenance, address verification and credit card processing, that are necessary for HM operations, including the fulfilling your requests. These Service Providers may be supplied with or have access to Your Data, but only for the purpose of providing these services to HM or on our behalf. These Service Providers are obligated to keep Your Data confidential. Certain portions of Your Data may also be made available to member and non-member HM volunteers who assist us with communications or surveys.
Sharing Information With Affiliates and Sponsors:
Affiliates and sponsoring organizations who share HM’s mission assist HM in providing services to you, and HM does not share Your Data with its affiliates and sponsoring organizations, unless specifically noted.
Sharing User Information:
HM may share basic profile information about you, including, but not limited to, your name, location and affiliation, to users of HM services. HM may also share your email address with users in support of connecting users, but only if you opt in on your profile page. Any information you enter as part of your profile, except your email address, may be available to users of HM services.
HM provides selected portions of Your Data to HM members in leadership or volunteer positions for use in connection to potential activities for members. If you prefer that we do not share Your Data with third parties as part of our member mailing lists, please contact us at info@humanitarianmakers.org.
Leaders, volunteer, and participants in HM:
If you serve as a leader or volunteer within HM or any HM member group, or if you are a member or non-member who has assumed a leadership role in any activity or program that HM conducts or sponsors, then HM may display limited portions of Your Data specific to that group, activity or program so that fellow group members or participants may contact you. In addition to your name, shared portions of Your Data may include your email address, employer, job title, telephone and photograph (if applicable).
Your choices
You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us. If you do not want to receive direct marketing communications from us about the vital work humanitarian makers are doing, then you can select your choices by ticking the relevant boxes situated on the form on which we collect your information.
We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone or text message unless you have given your prior consent. We will not contact you for marketing purposes by post if you have indicated that you do not wish to be contacted. How you can access and update your information
If you are an HM member, you may review, update, correct or delete any of Your Data that you have provided to us by logging into the Members Only section of the website.
Security precautions in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your information
When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it’s treated securely. When you are on a secure page, a lock icon will appear on the bottom of web browsers such as Google Chrome.
Non-sensitive details (your email address etc.) are transmitted normally over the Internet, and this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your information, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems. Transferring your information outside of Europe

Your California Privacy Rights
Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83 (also known as S.B. 27), if you are a California resident and your business relationship with HM is primarily for personal, family or household purposes, you may request certain data regarding HM’s disclosure, if any, of personal information to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please send an email to info@humanitarianmakers.org with “Request for California Privacy Information” in the subject line. You may make such a request up to once per calendar year. If applicable, we will do our best to provide you, by email, a list of the categories of personal information disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year, along with the third parties’ names and addresses. Please note that not all personal information sharing is covered by S.B. 27’s requirements.
